Board of Managers Letter of Commitment

The Board of Managers meets 3 times per year in a typical year, not including Executive Council and Committee Meetings. For fiscal year 2024-2025, we will follow this schedule (all times are Eastern):

General BOM/EC Orientations (90 minutes virtually – will be recorded and links to connect are sent via OnBoard) – choose one:

  • Opt 1: Wed, Aug 21, 5 – 6:30 pm
  • Opt 2: Fri, Aug 23, 12 – 1:30 pm

September 2024 Virtual Committee Onboarding:  Short Committee Onboarding Meeting, 20-30 minutes, led by the staff liaison and chair.  Volunteers will be provided the virtual link in advance:

    • Strategic Planning and Outcomes Orientation:  early September, TBD
    • Finance Committee Orientation: Wed, Sept 18, at 11:30 am
    • Belonging Committee Orientation: Thurs, Sept 19, at 11:30 am
    • Governance Committee Orientation: Fri, Sept 20, at 11:30 am

Strategic Planning and Outcomes Committee Joint Session: Thurs, Sept 26, 3 pm

Fall 2024 Executive Council/Board of Managers meeting #1 in Indianapolis at Sheraton Downtown Indianapolis

  • Wed – Friday, November 13-15 in Indianapolis
  • November Committees (45-60 min each- virtual and in-person) on Thursday, November 14, in the morning, followed by the general sessions then the Alumni Leaders (Hine Medal) banquet in the evening. Friday contains the Council business meeting followed by the Board of Managers meeting and adjournment around noon.

January/February 2025: Virtual Committee Meetings, 60 min – 2 hours. Volunteers will be provided the virtual link in advance:

  • Governance Committee #2: Fri, Jan 31, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
  • Strategic Planning and Outcomes Committee #3; Mon, Feb 3, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
  • Finance Committee #2: Tues, Feb 4, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
  • Belonging Committee #2: Wed, Feb 5, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

Board of Managers Meeting #2: Virtual meeting only

  • Friday, February 21: 9 – 11 am

  • June 25-27, 2025
  • Committee meetings tentatively Thursday morning, June 26, followed by general sessions, and the IUAA awards banquet. 
  • Friday’s schedule will include a Board of Managers meeting and annual alumni barbecue
