The IU LGBTQ+ Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes outstanding achievement by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ+) alumni of Indiana University. We seek nominations of IU LGBTQ+ alumni who excel in their chosen field, advocate for their community, and contribute to a better world for all in ways that only IU alumni can!

Past recipients include James Fielding, Jeff Richardson, Suzanne K. Aquila, Jean L. Orr, Mike Shumate, Kenneth R.R. Gros Louis, and Steven L. Tuchman.

The award is also available to individual allies and supporters of the IU LGBTQ+ community, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Living alumni of any IU campus are eligible. Submit a nomination by December 1, 2020. Letters of recommendation are strongly encouraged.
