During our 2023 Alumni Leaders Weekend in June, the IUAA will present the IUAA Volunteer Leadership Award and the IUAA President’s Award.

IUAA’s highest award, the President’s Award, was first bestowed in 1990 and honors the IU Alumni Association’s most dedicated volunteers who lead the way in serving IU. Three outstanding volunteers will be so honored this year.

• Clifford E. Hunt, BA’54, of Kokomo, Indiana
• Robert N. Johnson, BA’88, of Dublin, California
• Dennis E. Sputh, BS’75, of Denver, Colorado

IUAA Volunteer Leadership Award is newer and honors those of our most committed alumni volunteers who are still writing the chapters of their alumni story through volunteerism and service. This year’s awardees are:

• Kathy Koehler, MPA’98, of Indianapolis
• Millicent Martin Emery, BAJ’00, of Richmond, Indiana
• Janelle Stenger, BA’89, of Aurora, Indiana

• Dawn Michele Whitehead, BA’97, MS’03, PhD’07, of Washington, D.C.
