Come home to Bloomington for IU Homecoming 2016

You do so much to make IU and the IUAA better! We appreciate your time and effort and want to honor you during Homecoming weekend: Friday and Saturday, Oct. 14–15.  Please join us!

Here’s a rundown of what we have prepared for you:

Spirit Stations

(Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) – sponsored by the Monroe County Chapter of the IU Alumni Association

Stop by one of our Homecoming Spirit Stations and pick up some free IU swag! Let the staff at the Spirit Station know you’re an alumni leader and they will give you an additional gift. Locations include the Indiana Shop on Kirkwood, the Indiana Memorial Union, and the DeVault Alumni Center on 17th Street.

Parade & Pep Rally

(Friday, with parade lineup at 5 p.m. and parade step-off at 6 p.m.)

Join us in the parade Friday night either marching or on a special Alumni Leaders float; or choose to take in the parade from the VIP seating section. This year’s route follows Woodlawn Avenue from the Indiana Memorial Union (7th Street) to near Memorial Stadium (17th Street). A spirited, family-friendly “fun zone” —complete with food trucks, games, prizes and more—will be located in the grass lots along Woodlawn Avenue near 17th Street.  Make sure to stick around immediately after the parade for the pep rally.

Hoosier Huddle pregame party

(Saturday, 12:30 to 3 p.m.) — sponsored by Bank of America, Bloomington Brewing Company, Cardinal Spirits, Eagle Pointe Catering, Herff Jones, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Master Rental, Mercer, Oliver Winery & Vineyards, SpringHill Suites, T.I.S. College Bookstore and Upland Brewing Company

Rev up your Hoosier spirit before the big game at the Hoosier Huddle! You and one guest receive complimentary tickets to this exclusive tent party outside the DeVault Alumni Center. The party includes food and drinks from local vendors, live entertainment, activities for the kids, and appearances from the IU cheerleaders and Marching Hundred. Plus, you’ll receive a special gift.

Memorial Stadium On-Field Recognition

(Saturday, 2:30 p.m.)

It’s time to feel the love from the Memorial Stadium crowd! We will gather at the end of the Hoosier Huddle to march as a family over to Memorial Stadium where you will be recognized on the field prior to kick-off. To participate, you must have a game ticket; tickets are available through IU Athletics, 866-IUSPORTS. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m.  Go Hoosiers!  Beat the Cornhuskers!

Hotel Rooms

(Friday and Saturday nights)

Take advantage of some special blocks of reserved rooms. If you choose this option, we’ll send you a promo code that lets you book a two-night stay directly with the hotel. Participating hotels include Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, and SpringHill Suites. Rooms are limited, and the offer expires Aug. 28.

We can’t wait to say “Thank You” at Homecoming 2016!

GO IU!
