Power Panel of Disruptive Innovators, Thought Leaders, and Entrepreneurs

Hi, volunteer leaders! We wanted you to be aware of this fantastic upcoming signature IUAA event.
If you are near San Francisco, we hope you can attend in person, but everyone (yes, everyone!) can attend virtually, see below for the details. And feel free to use some of this information in emails or promotions to alumni in your area or network. Thank you!

It’s time to break the rules or create new ones to forge innovative careers in the new normal of this job economy. The Indiana University Alumni Association is doing just that by featuring a power panel of rock star alumni to discuss disruptive innovation, the art of failure, and being entrepreneurial – whether you are a business owner or not.

Join us at WordPress’s Automattic Lounge in San Francisco on February 10th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Pacific Time for a not to be missed event with delicious food and libations featuring renowned IU Alumni: Tony Conrad, Valerie Grubb, David Krane, and Deborah Collins Stephens. With a special welcome by engineer and innovative thought leader, Indiana Lt. Governor, Sue Ellspermann.

Open to the public – register or sign up to receive the video on demand to watch at your convenience, which is free to IUAA members.

Here is a glimpse of what’s on tap at this special event.

  • Extra Event for Young Professionals

  • The New Resume: What’s Not On It

More than ever, college graduates today are facing an extremely competitive landscape. In this digital age, everyone seems to look great with phenomenal credentials on social media and online. If you don’t stand out, you’re left behind. So, how do you set yourself apart from the crowd? Funny enough, it’s not what’s on your resume that makes you stand out, rather what’s not on it. In this one-hour program, millennial leadership expert and about.me’s Director of Higher Education Antonio Neves, breaks down three steps to help you differentiate yourself in the career marketplace and get the job you desire. These steps include telling your story with style; associating yourself with greatness; and how to “turn up the volume.”
