As an alumni leader, you do so much to make IU and the IUAA better! We appreciate your time and effort, and we want to honor you during Homecoming weekend: Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13-14. Please join us for Alumni Leader Recognition Weekend, a very special part of Homecoming.
Here’s a rundown of what we’ve got prepared for you:
- Spirit Stations (Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
Stop by one of our Homecoming Spirit Stations and pick up some free IU swag! Let the staff at the Spirit Station know you’re an alumni leader, and they will give you an additional gift. Locations include the Indiana Shop on Kirkwood, the Indiana Memorial Union, and the DeVault Alumni Center on 17th Street. - Parade & Pep Rally (Friday, with parade lineup at 5 p.m. and parade step-off at 6 p.m.)
Join us during one of IU’s longest traditions – our Homecoming parade! We have a special place reserved just for you – a VIP grandstand. The route follows Woodlawn Avenue from the IMU to near Memorial Stadium. A pep rally—complete with food trucks and fireworks—immediately follows the parade. - Pre-Game Party (Saturday, 9 a.m.)
Rev up your Hoosier spirit before the big game at the Homecoming Huddle! You and one guest receive complimentary tickets to this exclusive tent party outside the DeVault Alumni Center. The party includes food and drinks from local vendors, live entertainment, activities for the kids, and appearances from the IU cheerleaders and Marching Hundred. Plus, you’ll receive a special gift. - Memorial Stadium On-Field Recognition (Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to gather; 10:45 to depart for stadium)
It’s time to feel the love from the Memorial Stadium crowd! We will gather at the end of the Homecoming Huddle to march as a family over to Memorial Stadium where you will be recognized on the field prior to kick-off. To participate, you must have a game ticket; tickets are available through IU Athletics, 866-IUSPORTS. Kickoff is at noon.
If you have any questions, contact Eryn Wisler at ewisler@iu.edu or 812-855-3975.
We can’t wait to say “Thank You” at Homecoming 2017!
For the glory of IU,
