Alumni Spotlight: Lindsey Suer

Graduating college and moving away to a huge city is not easy, but it is nothing Lindsey Suer could not handle. In 2020, Lindsey graduated from the Indiana University Bloomington Kelley School of Business in Marketing and Digital & Social Media Business Applications. After working several internships throughout her college years, she picked up on technical skills and knowledge in merchandising. After specializing in marketing and digital operations at her internships, she took that experience with her to New York City after graduating to work for Tiffany & Co as an Information Security Analyst.

As a student, Lindsey loved her time at IU. She was on the cheerleading team all four  years and was a student assistant at the Kelley Career Center. She helped students with on-site interviews, recruiting rooms, and spoke to professionals at the center. She set herself up for success and made forever friends from her student involvement. After graduating, she wanted to give back to the IU community and get to know more people from New York who attended IU. “It’s hard when you graduate, and you go from being around people all the time, having so many friends, close relationships, and organizations to join. Then you graduate, move to a city, and you are kind of on your own. I wanted to reach back out to IU and be a part of something bigger than myself,” said Lindsey. Originally from Indiana, Lindsey has enjoyed serving on IUAA’s Metro New York Chapter and looks forward to getting involved with even more events.

In her interview with IUAA Student Fellow Marley Anderson, Lindsey explains how her  internships and IU degree set her up for a career as an Information Security Engineer at Tiffany  & Co.
