Career and Professional Development – Last Fiscal Year at a Glance

IUAA Career and Professional Development made great strides in reaching more IU alumni in the 2015-16 fiscal year. With a focus on connecting alumni to IU and to each other, and an initiative to make access to our services and resources easier, we implemented new systems and processes to better measure our impact. We are excited to share with you a few examples of our success.

Career Coaching

We saw an increase in the number of alumni taking advantage of our Career Coaches’ expertise with a total of 255 career coaching sessions for the year; 205 of which were free member benefit sessions, 50 of which were purchased sessions. We also averaged a 66% conversion rate from initial inquiries to booked sessions.

Events

Available as a free member benefit, our signature event series, the Career Navigator Webinar Series, was a success with 1,766 total registrants. Our largest webinar took place in October with over 300 registrants. We noticed a dip in registrations in the Spring and have designed next year’s webinar slate with new topics, a new webinar time to appeal to more alumni in various time zones, and a new webinar platform to make access easier.

Digital Resources

With the number of registered employers and alumni steadily growing, the IUAA Job Board remains an active digital resource for alumni to search for jobs posted by employers specifically looking for experienced IU talent. In addition to the Job Board, our mentorship platform, IUVisors, and Pro Tip Videos also serve as great free digital resources for IU alums. This year, we are also excited to offer the soon-to-be-released Career Minded Podcast series.
