Help Recruit Outstanding Students to IU

Volunteers,
As the fall is approaching, we wanted to remind you about our Alumni Student Recruitment program for Bloomington and the Jaguar Alumni Group for IUPUI. These programs are joint initiatives between the Offices of Admissions on each campus, and alumni relations. We invite you to help recruit outstanding students to IU in the area where you live, or recommend students to any IU campus. Learn more about both initiatives.

Additionally, we wanted you to be aware that the application for admission is currently live and available for all of IU’s campuses.

Dates and Deadlines for Admissions in Bloomington

Details for Bloomington.

There are two priority deadlines related to fall admission: November 1 and February 1. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible in the fall of their senior year in high school and to meet the November 1 deadline.

For maximum scholarship consideration—that is, to be considered for the majority of IU’s merit scholarships—students must submit a completed admission application by November 1.
If they meet the November 1 application deadline, they may submit updated SAT and/or ACT scores until January 15 for additional scholarship consideration.

After February 1, applications will only be accepted on a space-available basis.

Application Review Process

Students will receive a response from us no later than the dates below, which are based on the date their application was completed, and all their application materials were received.

Submit a completed application by one of these priority dates—Receive a response no later than the date below
November 1;  January 15
February 1;  March 15
After February 1; All applications submitted after this date will be considered on a space-available, case-by-case basis.
May 1 –$100 enrollment deposit due

Campus Visit

Encourage any students with whom you interact to schedule a campus visit and experience Bloomington first-hand. Did you know that research shows that visiting campus is one the top influencers for students as they choose a college. Encourage them to do so, and details can be found on the admissions website.
