Pretty soon (if not already) our wonderful alumni leaders will be contacted by postcard, email, or telephone by a company called Publishing Concepts Inc. They have been engaged to update the alumni data and we need your help to do so.
The FAQ document will help explain a lot of things.
In an age where we need to be super careful about spam, phishing emails, and other nefarious electronic activity, it’s understandable that you might be wary of an email asking for data verification. Don’t be alarmed. You will not have to provide your social security number, mother’s maiden name, or anything else private. Just give that toll-free number a call and have your personal ID ready (it’s not your alumni ID; it’s an ID number given to you in PCI’s communication to you). It took about 10 minutes for my call. After verifying my address and such, the customer service person asked me if I was interested in purchasing the hard-bound commemorative directory or the digital download, or both. Her ask was low-pressure, and then I was finished.
Thanks for your support of this important project. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me at rekeith@iu.edu or to Joan Hall, Director of Membership Marketing, at jchall@iu.edu.
