Welcome Home! Join Us for Homecoming in B-town

If you have not made plans to come back for IU Homecoming (October 16 – 18, 2014), make sure to do so as you will experience a wonderful weekend of great programming and events.

Highlights include:

  • The Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 17. The route will once again run from 4th and Lincoln near downtown, up Kirkwood towards the Sample Gates and Indiana Avenue. The parade starts at 5:30pm with a pep rally presented by IU Athletics afterwards at the Sample Gates.
  • DeVault Open House on Friday, October 17, will be an opportunity for visitors to check out the beautiful home of the IU Alumni Association and enjoy some treats from Sugar & Spice. The Open House is from 10:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • New this year“A Taste of Mini University” on Friday, October 17 in the Kelley Dining Room at the DeVault Center. Professor Beth Cate from SPEA will present “Voting Rights and Wrongs:  The Supreme Court Revisits Race, Redistricting, and the Remains of the Voting Rights Act” from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Professor Greg Kitzmiller from Kelley will present “A History of Craft Beer” with tastings from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Both of these “classes” are free but we are asking for sign-ups in advance. Professor Kitzmiller’s session will also be 21 and over please.
  • Alumni Leaders Recognition will take place during Homecoming Weekend including an on-field experience pre-game. Stay tuned for more details from Jen Goins and the Alumni Relations team!
  • Also new this yearHoosier Huddle VIP event behind the DeVault Alumni Center on Saturday, October 17. The event is invitation only (which you all are invited to) starting at 12:30 pm. For $15 per person, enjoy amazing food, beer and wine from local vendors, IU giveaways, great music, appearances from the Marching 100 and IU Cheerleaders and more! Then, head into Memorial Stadium at 3:30 to cheer on the Hoosiers!
